Spoiler Free Review

“With each generation, the gods blessed one witch with The Power, the ability to control all parts of nature: earth, air, fire, water, and spirit. This blessing was considered an honor and was thought to be the key to eliminating the immortal species.”

Blood rose is an interesting tale about a girl tied to fate. Spending her whole life knowing her existence was mapped out, Avah, a twenty four year old witch, is preparing to be blessed with The Power, which she shall master before setting off to eliminate the Vampire species.
If only it was that simple.
Blood Rose has plot twists that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat, with the action never fading.

“There was only Jasik. There was only me. There was only blood.”

Avah is a strong character who is quick to adapt to the struggles she faces throughout. Danielle Rose’s writing was intricate and flowed throughout, leaving me gasping as I read the entire novel in one sitting.
The character development was really strong from the beginning, and the world building was really clear was allowed me to get my head around the Magic and tales of both witch and vampire.

“You’re strong, Avah. Stronger than you know. Control it,”

The novel does feature an instant love, which I know doesn’t appeal to some, but I’m hoping there will be an explanation for the bond they felt connecting them together in the second book.

“I will prove that I’m worth your time,”

Overall, Blood Rose is a quick and enjoyable read for those seeking their next fantasy and romance novel.
