Half Wild : Review

“I always thought a persons Gift reflected something about that person and all I can think is that my gift reflects my desires, and my desires are to be totally wild, totally free”

Half Wild a novel by Sally Green. It begins where the first book, Half Bad, ends. The story follows the main character Nathan, a half code ( half white witch and half black witch )

The novel has a very unique writing style which makes it a lot more interesting , and each character is very individual. Violent battle scenes, heart warming conversations , it really was an amazing read, despite the slow start.

“The point of being good is going it when it’s tough, not when it’s easy.”

Sally Green takes the reader on an adventure to various locations where Nathan , Gabriel and newly introduced Nesbit and Van join him in his quest to free anyoease from for death like sleep and rescue her from the secret underground abode.

On this journey the characters run into some familiar faces. Elle and Marcus – the most feared black witch, murderer and Nathan’s father .
Nathan really develops as a character through this book and he struggles to deal with his shape shifting abilities. It was really interesting to get both prespectives – animal and human. I really believe that Nathan Finds himself in this novel and I’m really glad about that
Gabriel and Nathan have always had a strong bond. While it was revealed in Half Bad that Garbiel loved him, we, as readers got to see more of their relationship from a romance perspective.
This made the read even more captivating and the romantic clashes between characters made the reader more frustrated and more involved in the story.

“Wild is an interesting word. We imagine wild to be untamed and out of control but, of course, nature isn’t like that; nature is controlled, ordered, extremely disciplined by all its elements.”
